Hōjō Ujinao

1562–1591 · 16th century · Also known as Hojo Ujinao

Hōjō Ujinao was the fifth and last head of the Later Hojo clan of Odawara in Japan. With his father Ujimasa he refused to submit to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who besieged Odawara in 1590. After the surrender Ujimasa was ordered to kill himself, but Ujinao, son-in-law of Tokugawa Ieyasu, was spared and exiled to Mount Koya, where he died the next year.
