Irkab-Damu

24th century BCE · 24th century BCE

Irkab-Damu was a king of Ebla in the twenty-fourth century BCE and successor of Igrish-Halam. During his reign Ebla began to recover from Mari's dominance, building alliances and extending its control over neighbouring towns, and the treaty with Abarsal may date from this period. He was succeeded by Ishar-Damu, the last king before the palace was destroyed.
