Kardamaka dynasty
The Kardamaka dynasty was the main line of the Western Satraps, Saka rulers of western India, founded by Chastana at Ujjain in the early 2nd century CE. Its kings, including Rudradaman I, ruled Gujarat, Malwa and neighbouring regions and issued a long, dated series of silver coins. The line ended around 395 to 415, when the Gupta emperor Chandragupta II defeated Rudrasimha III and annexed their lands.
