Lapua Movement
The Lapua Movement was a Finnish radical nationalist and anti-communist movement founded in the town of Lapua in Ostrobothnia in late 1929. It pressed the government into banning communist activity and kidnapped opponents, among them the former president K. J. Ståhlberg in 1930. After its supporters' failed Mäntsälä rebellion of 1932 it was banned, and its successor was the Patriotic People's Movement.
