Mäntsälä rebellion
The Mäntsälä rebellion was a failed uprising by members of the Lapua Movement in February and March 1932, which began when armed activists broke up a Social Democratic meeting at Mäntsälä in southern Finland. The rebels demanded the resignation of the government, but the army stayed loyal and President P. E. Svinhufvud appealed to them by radio to go home. The movement was then banned.
