Meersburg

Meersburg is a small town on the north shore of Lake Constance in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. After the city of Constance adopted the Reformation in the 1520s, the prince-bishops of Constance moved their residence there, later building a baroque New Palace beside the medieval Old Castle. The poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff lived and died in the Old Castle.
