Konstanz
Konstanz, in English Constance, is a city in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, on Lake Constance where the Rhine leaves the lake, on the border with Switzerland. A late Roman fort, it became a bishopric around 600, heading the largest diocese of the German lands, and later a free imperial city. From 1414 to 1418 it hosted the Council of Constance, which ended the Western Schism.
