Nau Nihal Singh

d. 1840 · 19th century

Nau Nihal Singh was a grandson of Ranjit Singh and briefly a ruler of the Sikh Empire. He died in 1840 when a gateway collapsed on him on the same day as his father Kharak Singh's death, in circumstances regarded as suspicious. His death was part of a violent succession crisis that weakened the Sikh state after Ranjit Singh.
