Nienburg (Weser)
Nienburg is a town in Lower Saxony, Germany, on the Weser between Bremen and Minden. It was a residence of the counts of Hoya until their line died out in 1582, after which it passed to the Guelph dukes of Brunswick-Lüneburg and was fortified as a stronghold on the Weser. Its old town keeps many half-timbered houses.
