Nigg Stone

The Nigg Stone is a Pictish cross-slab of around 800 CE, kept in the old parish church of Nigg in Easter Ross, Scotland. One face bears a cross filled with interlace and spiral ornament, the other a hunting scene and figures, including a scene of the hermits Paul and Anthony receiving bread from a raven. It is counted among the masterpieces of early medieval sculpture in Britain.
