Shandwick Stone

Also known as Clach a' Charridh

The Shandwick Stone, or Clach a' Charridh, is a Pictish cross-slab of around 800 CE standing above the village of Shandwick in Easter Ross, Scotland. One side carries a large cross with raised bosses, the other Pictish symbols, a hunting scene and a panel of intricate spiral ornament. It is now protected inside a glass enclosure.
