Institution
Nizamiyya
The Nizamiyya were a network of madrasas, or institutions of higher learning, founded by the Seljuk vizier Nizam al-Mulk in Baghdad, Nishapur, Isfahan and other cities. They taught Shafi'i law and Sunni theology and trained the administrative and judicial class of the Seljuk Empire. The network became a model for Islamic higher education across the Muslim world.
