Omsk

Omsk is a city in south-western Siberia, Russia, at the confluence of the Irtysh and Om rivers. Founded as a fortress in 1716, it became the administrative centre of the Steppe region. In 1918–1919 it was the capital of Admiral Kolchak's White government, and it is now a major industrial city.
