Pamheiba
Pamheiba, known as Garib Niwaz, was king of Manipur from 1709 to 1748. He made Hindu Vaishnavism the court religion, reportedly ordering the burning of older Meitei scriptures, and led repeated campaigns into Burma, raiding deep into the Irrawaddy valley. His reign marked the height of Manipur's military power.
