Pathankot
Pathankot is a city in the Punjab state of India, at the foot of the Himalayas where the roads to Jammu and Himachal Pradesh meet. The surrounding area was the land of the ancient Audumbaras, and the Pathania Rajputs, who later ruled Nurpur, took their name from the town. Today it is an important railway junction and military base.
