Peace of 363

363 CE · 4th century

The Peace of 363 was the treaty concluded in 363 CE between Rome and the Sasanian Empire after the Roman emperor Julian died during his invasion of Persia. His successor Jovian accepted terms to extract the Roman army. Shapur II recovered Nisibis, Singara and territories lost in 299 CE, reversing the earlier Roman settlement.
