Peace of Szatmár
The Peace of Szatmár was concluded in April 1711 between the Habsburg monarchy and the Hungarian insurgents of Francis II Rákóczi, ending the war of independence he had led since 1703. The rebels received an amnesty and the Habsburgs promised to respect the constitution and religious liberties of Hungary, while Rákóczi himself rejected the terms and went into exile.
