Pongola River
The Pongola is a river of southern Africa that rises in Mpumalanga, South Africa, and flows east along the northern edge of KwaZulu-Natal to join the Usutu River on the Mozambique border. In the 18th century the Dlamini ancestors of the Swazi settled on its lower course, and the Ndwandwe lived nearby. The Pongolapoort Dam on it forms one of South Africa's largest reservoirs.
