Ptolemaeus of Commagene
Ptolemaeus was the founder of the kingdom of Commagene in south-eastern Anatolia. A Seleucid governor of the region, he broke away from the weakening Seleucid Empire around 163 BCE and ruled as an independent king until about 130 BCE. His descendants, among them Mithridates I Callinicus and Antiochus I Theos, ruled Commagene until it came under Roman control.
