Puntland
Puntland is an autonomous state in north-eastern Somalia, declared in 1998 by clan leaders after the collapse of the central government. Its capital is Garowe, and it includes Cape Guardafui and the ports of Bosaso and Eyl. It remains part of the Federal Republic of Somalia, unlike neighbouring Somaliland, which claims full independence.
