Qabala
Qabala is a town in northern Azerbaijan on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus. Near it lie the ruins of ancient Kabala, the early capital of Caucasian Albania, mentioned by Pliny and Ptolemy, with walls and gates excavated by archaeologists. The capital later moved to Partav, modern Barda, but Kabala remained an important town into the Middle Ages.
