River Tamar

The River Tamar flows about 98 kilometres south from near the north coast of Cornwall to Plymouth Sound, forming most of the boundary between Cornwall and Devon. King Æthelstan is said to have fixed it as the border of the Cornish around 936, and it has long been seen as the line between Cornwall and England. Brunel's Royal Albert Bridge crosses its estuary.
