River Tay

The River Tay is the longest river in Scotland, about 190 km long, and the largest in the United Kingdom by volume of water. It flows from the western Highlands through Loch Tay and past Perth to the Firth of Tay at Dundee. Its valley was a frontier of Roman campaigns and a heartland of the Picts, with Scone, the inauguration place of Scottish kings, near its banks.
