Carpow is the site of a Roman legionary fortress on the south bank of the Tay near Abernethy in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It was built around 208–211, during the campaigns of the emperor Septimius Severus against the Caledonians and Maeatae, and was garrisoned by detachments of the Sixth and Second Legions. It was given up soon after Severus' death.
