Russo-Turkish War (1686–1700)
The Russo-Turkish War of 1686–1700 was Russia's part in the Great Turkish War as a member of the Holy League against the Ottoman Empire. Two campaigns against the Crimean Khanate under Vasily Golitsyn in 1687 and 1689 failed, but Peter I took Azov in 1696. The Treaty of Constantinople of 1700 confirmed Azov as Russian.
