Sabya
Sabya is a town in the Jazan region of south-western Saudi Arabia, on the coastal plain of the Tihamah. The Sufi teacher Ahmad ibn Idris died there in 1837, and in the early 20th century it was the seat of his great-grandson Muhammad ibn Ali al-Idrisi, ruler of the Idrisid Emirate of Asir. It passed to Saudi Arabia in the 1920s and 1930s.
