Person
Sanchuniathon
Sanchuniathon was a Phoenician author whom Philo of Byblos claimed as the source of his Phoenician History, dating him to before the Trojan War. No original work survives, and he is known only through Philo's Greek version as quoted by Eusebius. Whether he was a real early writer is debated, but the mythology attributed to him includes material corroborated by texts from Ugarit.
