1505–1567 · 16th century · Also known as Shahghali

Shah Ali was a Chinggisid prince of the Qasim Khanate who served the grand princes of Moscow. Moscow installed him as Khan of Kazan three times, in 1518–1521, 1546 and 1551–1552, but Kazan's nobles rejected him each time; he later led Russian troops in the Livonian War. His mausoleum still stands in Kasimov.
