Shrinathji

Shrinathji is a form of the Hindu god Krishna depicted as a seven-year-old child lifting Govardhan Hill, worshipped as the principal deity of the Pushtimarg tradition founded by Vallabhacharya. The image, said to have been found on Govardhan Hill near Mathura, was moved in 1672 to Mewar to escape Mughal hostility and installed at Nathdwara, which became one of the major pilgrimage centres of western India.
