Sudanese Union – African Democratic Rally
The Sudanese Union – African Democratic Rally (US-RDA) was a political party in French Sudan, now Mali, founded in 1946 as the local section of the African Democratic Rally. Led by Mamadou Konaté and Modibo Keïta, it won the elections of the 1950s, led the territory to autonomy as the Sudanese Republic in 1958 and to independence in 1960, and ruled Mali as its single party until the coup of 1968.
