Tepich
Tepich is a village in Quintana Roo, Mexico, in the east of the Yucatán peninsula. In July 1847 the Maya leader Cecilio Chi attacked it after the execution of Manuel Antonio Ay in Valladolid, an event usually taken as the start of the Caste War of Yucatán. The uprising spread across the peninsula and lasted for decades.
