Tonglüshan
Tonglüshan is an ancient copper mine near Daye in Hubei, China, worked from about the late second millennium BCE to the Han dynasty. Discovered in 1973, it preserves shafts, timber supports, tools and smelting furnaces, and the slag heaps suggest that tens of thousands of tonnes of copper were produced there. It supplied metal for Bronze Age China and later for the State of Chu.
