Toulouse
Toulouse is a city on the Garonne in south-western France. As Tolosa it was the chief town of the Volcae Tectosages and then a Roman city; it was the capital of the Visigothic kingdom from 418 to 507 and later of the counts of Toulouse, rulers of much of Languedoc, until the Albigensian Crusade brought it under the French crown in 1271. It is now a centre of the aerospace industry.
