Valabhi
Valabhi was an ancient city on the Saurashtra peninsula of Gujarat, near modern Vallabhipur, and the capital of the Maitraka dynasty from the late 5th to the 8th century. The Chinese pilgrims Xuanzang and Yijing described it as a rich port and a centre of Buddhist learning comparable to Nalanda. Jain tradition holds that the Jain canon was written down there at a council in the 5th century.
