Vareia
Vareia was a town of the Berones on the Ebro, at modern Varea on the eastern edge of Logroño in La Rioja, Spain. It was a river port at the head of navigation on the Ebro. A surviving fragment of Livy describes its capture by Quintus Sertorius in 76 BCE during his war against the Roman government, and it remained a Roman town under the Empire.
