Wat Arun

Also known as Temple of Dawn, Wat Arun Ratchawararam

Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, is a Buddhist temple on the west bank of the Chao Phraya in Bangkok, in the old capital district of Thonburi. King Taksin made it his royal temple, and its great central prang, more than 70 metres high, was raised under Rama II and Rama III and covered with fragments of Chinese porcelain. It is one of the best-known landmarks of Bangkok.
