Wat Chedi Luang
Wat Chedi Luang is a Buddhist temple in the centre of Chiang Mai, Thailand, whose great chedi was begun in the late 14th century and enlarged under King Tilokarat in the 15th, when it was the tallest structure in Lan Na. It housed the Emerald Buddha from 1468 to 1551. An earthquake in the 16th century brought down its upper part.
