Weißenburg in Bayern
Weißenburg in Bayern is a town in Middle Franconia, Bavaria, beside the Roman fort of Biriciana on the Raetian Limes. It was a free imperial city from the Middle Ages until 1802, long rivalled by the margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach in the Wülzburg fortress above it, and passed to Bavaria in 1802–1803.
