West Banas River
The West Banas is a river of western India that rises in the Aravalli hills of southern Rajasthan and flows south-west through northern Gujarat into the Little Rann of Kutch. It gives its name to Banaskantha district, 'the bank of the Banas', where small princely states such as Tharad and Diyodar lay. It is distinct from the larger Banas River of eastern Rajasthan, a tributary of the Chambal.
