Wester Ross
Wester Ross is the western part of the old county of Ross and Cromarty in the Highlands of Scotland, a mountainous coast of sea lochs and islands between Lochalsh and Ullapool. In antiquity Ptolemy placed the Carnonacae there, and its coast has the remains of Iron Age duns and brochs. Today it is thinly populated and known for the Torridon hills.
