Yamunotri

Yamunotri is a Hindu pilgrimage site in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India, near the source of the Yamuna river in the western Garhwal Himalaya. Its temple to the goddess Yamuna and nearby hot springs make it the first stop of the Char Dham pilgrimage, which continues to Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. Pilgrims reach it on foot from the road head at Janki Chatti.
