Ali Tegin
Ali Tegin was a prince of the Kara-Khanid dynasty who ruled Bukhara and much of Transoxiana from about 1020 until his death in 1034. He fought rival members of his family and the Ghaznavids, and in 1025 Mahmud of Ghazni joined the eastern khan Yusuf Qadir Khan against him, driving him out for a time. He used Seljuk Turkmen bands as allies, helping the rise of the Seljuks in the region.
