Aller
The Aller is a river in northern Germany, about 260 kilometres long, a right tributary of the Weser. It rises near Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt and flows north-west through Lower Saxony, past Wolfsburg and Celle, to join the Weser near Verden. Its valley formed the heartland of the Welf duchy of Lüneburg, whose dukes resided at Celle.
