Astorga
Astorga is a town in the province of León in north-western Spain. It grew from Asturica Augusta, a Roman foundation of the reign of Augustus that became the administrative centre of the gold-mining district of the north-west. In the Middle Ages it was an episcopal see and a stop on the Way of Saint James, and it keeps much of its Roman wall and an episcopal palace by Antoni Gaudí.
