Battle of Austerlitz
The Battle of Austerlitz was fought on 2 December 1805 near Austerlitz (Slavkov u Brna) in Moravia, during the War of the Third Coalition. Napoleon's French army decisively defeated the Russian and Austrian armies of Tsar Alexander I and Emperor Francis II. The victory forced Austria to accept the Peace of Pressburg, led to the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire, and is often counted as Napoleon's greatest triumph.
