Beçin
Beçin is a ruined medieval town on a rocky plateau near Milas in south-western Turkey. A Byzantine fortress, it was taken in the late thirteenth century by the Menteshe Turkmen and became a capital of the Menteshe beylik, with mosques, a madrasa and baths. It passed to the Ottomans in the early fifteenth century.
