Milas
Milas is a town in Muğla province, south-western Turkey, on the site of ancient Mylasa, the capital of Caria under the Hecatomnid dynasty. In the late thirteenth century it was taken by Turkmen raiders and became a chief town of the Menteshe beylik, whose rulers built mosques there. Ibn Battuta visited it in the 1330s and praised its ruler Orhan Bey.
