Chakla Roshnabad
Chakla Roshnabad was a large estate in the plains west of the Tripura hills, in the districts of Comilla, Noakhali and Sylhet in present-day Bangladesh. After the Mughals annexed these lowlands, the Manikya kings of Tripura kept them as zamindars, paying revenue first to the Mughals and then to the British. The estate provided much of the kingdom's income until the partition of 1947 placed it in East Pakistan.
