Deir el-Bahari

Deir el-Bahari is a bay of cliffs on the west bank of the Nile opposite Luxor, site of the mortuary temples of Mentuhotep II of the 11th Dynasty and of Hatshepsut, whose terraced temple bears reliefs of the expedition to Punt. In the tomb DB320 nearby, priests of the 21st Dynasty hid royal mummies, which were found in 1881.
