Enki

Also known as Ea

Enki was the Sumerian god of fresh water, crafts, wisdom and magic, known to the Akkadians as Ea. His chief temple, the E-abzu, stood at Eridu in southern Mesopotamia, which was regarded as his city. In myths he appears as a creator and helper of humanity, and in Enki and Ninhursag he provides the land of Dilmun with fresh water.
